Physical Disability facilities at Quality Respite care

Quality Rehabilitation & Respite Care at Valley View Barn caters for people with a variety of needs and periods of stay, from a short respite break and holiday stay to longer rehabilitation. What stays constant is the dedication and experience of the team while you stay in beautiful surroundings as the old English barn is set within 2 acres of lawns and overlooks a Sussex valley.

Specialist training

Our staffing teams are all undergo a two week Quality Rehabilitation & Respite Care induction programme run on site. This covers a multiple of areas and conditions to ensure that the standard of care, that is a trade mark of Quality Rehabilitation & Respite care is maintained. New members of the team are then placed with experienced team members to have practical ongoing support and guidance.

A rigorous training programme is then constructed around individual's needs for the continuing year before they enter the annual training programme for all staff.
What this all means to you as a guest or family member is real assurance and confidence that a visitor's security, dignity and independence can truly be catered for on an individual basis.
This creates a happy knowledgeable team that enjoys creating a homely and interactive environment. All dietary requirments are catered for with food prepared and cooked onsite with local fresh produced used when possible.

Our guests may have a number of different conditions

Our registration covers physical disability for adults above 18 yrs. Visitors are welcome who

need support and in many cases help with independence or gaining new skills. We are proud of the atmosphere that has been created to make their or your stay more than just a visit to a beautiful spot.

Facilities

All the bedrooms are en-suite with 7 of the 8 eight rooms are on the ground floor with en-suite wet rooms. All the rooms have TV and DVD with all ground floor rooms have either a

private terrace overlooking the gardens or a lounge area.
We also have on site an area that is utilised for rehabilitation and the ability to utilise the utility area and kitchen to support our rehabilitation programme.
Outside of the large lounge there is a communal patio area for summer barbeques on warm days. The thresholds have been removed from the internal doorways and lowered at access points to really aid independence.
24hr care and staff are available at all times for that reassurance that help is permanently on hand as there are call alarm point is all rooms.
There is also a complete entertainments programme which can be adapted to the requirment and enjoyment of our guests. Such is the advantage of being an 8 bed Quality Rehabilitation & Respite care centre.

Accommodation- 8 bedrooms

Two bedroom bungalow with two en-suite wet rooms and private lounge
Five ground floor en-suite bedrooms with wet rooms and private terraces
One first floor bedroom with en-suite and views over looking the Sussex valley
Four of the bedrooms are suitable for wheelchair dependant users

Quality Respite Care's philosophy has created a warm, friendly atmosphere for both the residents and staff. This gives a feeling of security and dignity in an environment conducive to rehabilitation and stimulation.

Family and friends always welcome

Family and friends are always welcome and indeed encourage to visit, enjoy a home cooked

meal and spend time with loved ones and meet with the staff who are trained to be sympathetic to help with resident's own personal needs.
